Designed by Brunet-Saunier Architecture, the North research building houses research units from CNRS, EPHE, EHESS, ENC, and L'Université Paris 8 Vincennes-Saint-Denis.
The building’s ground floor contains seminar rooms and the Condorcet du Crous university restaurant, which consists of a self-service canteen, a cafe, and a club-style restaurant. Like the South research building, the upper floors are home to work and social spaces for the research teams: private and shared offices, meeting rooms, tutoring spaces, etc.
The Architect’s vision
"The base of the building is mostly glass. This is to express notions of porosity and passage. When the sun penetrates the building, you can observe the interior life that is taking shape inside." Brunet-Saunier Architecture
