The Colegram dance company was in residence at the Cultural and associative centre on Campus from 30 November to 5 December 2020.
During this residency, the company worked on creating Le Bal, under the artistic direction of Tarek Aït Meddour and Sébastien Amblard. It is performed by four dancers: Adrien Ouaki, Grégoire Malandain, Teddy Verardo and Sébastien Amblard.
An end-of-residency performance will be presented on Campus during 2021-2022.
Le Bal explores the myth of the male figure.Drawing strength from his indisputable domination of a patriarchal, coded society built to resemble him, man wears the self-imposed image of a hero, passed down from Homer’s era to contemporary times.
But what is man’s true nature?
Today’s world turns this age-old image upside down, shedding new light on who he really is.
Strong yet fragile, sensitive and versatile, he is now faced with a dilemma: assume his new identity or repress it.
